SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, SACC & WBDHF: A New Partnership for Tourism, Business, Culture and Sport

SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, SACC AND WBDHF SIGN MEMORANDA OF COOPERATION TO STRENGTHEN INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Bratislava, Slovakia – 9 October 2026

A new step towards cooperation in tourism, international trade, culture and sport

Today, memoranda of cooperation were signed between SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, the national organisation operating under the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic, and two international partners: the Slovak Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and the World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation (WBDHF).

These agreements represent an important step towards strengthening international cooperation, promoting Slovakia abroad and developing new opportunities connecting tourism, business, cultural exchange and international sport.

The cooperation aims to establish a framework for joint initiatives, the exchange of expertise, the development of international partnerships and the promotion of Slovakia as an attractive destination for visitors, investors, business partners and international sporting communities.

Strengthening Slovakia’s international profile

Through cooperation with SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, SACC and WBDHF aim to contribute to the international promotion of Slovakia by connecting their respective networks, experience and activities.

The partnership creates opportunities to develop joint promotional initiatives, support international events, facilitate professional contacts and encourage cooperation between Slovak institutions and foreign partners.

By bringing together tourism promotion, international business relations and sport, the partners seek to explore new ways of presenting Slovakia to a wider international audience.

SACC: Building bridges between Slovakia and Asia

The Slovak Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) focuses on developing economic and institutional relations between Slovakia and Asian countries.

Cooperation with SLOVAKIA TRAVEL provides a platform for exploring initiatives that connect tourism promotion with international business development, cultural exchange and the establishment of new professional partnerships.

The shared objective is to encourage stronger links between Slovakia and international markets, support the exchange of knowledge and identify opportunities for future cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

WBDHF: Promoting Slovakia through international sport

The World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation (WBDHF), an international sports organisation established in 1985, brings together the global ball and dek hockey community through international competitions and sporting cooperation.

Through this memorandum, the federation seeks to strengthen the connection between international sport and Slovakia’s tourism potential.

International championships, tournaments and related sporting activities can create opportunities to attract athletes, delegations, officials, supporters and visitors from abroad. These events can also contribute to the international visibility of host destinations and create opportunities for cooperation with local tourism providers and other stakeholders.

The partnership will provide a framework for exploring initiatives that combine sporting events with the promotion of Slovakia’s regions, cultural heritage and visitor experiences.

A shared vision for future cooperation

The memoranda establish a basis for further dialogue and the development of joint activities in areas of common interest, including:

  • Tourism promotion – presenting Slovakia as an attractive destination for international visitors.
  • International business relations – creating opportunities for professional networking and cross-border partnerships.
  • Culture and education – encouraging the exchange of knowledge, experience and cultural perspectives.
  • International sport – connecting sporting events with tourism promotion and international engagement.
  • Joint promotional activities – exploring campaigns, events and initiatives that strengthen Slovakia’s international profile.

The partners intend to build on these agreements through further discussions and the preparation of concrete activities in line with their respective responsibilities and objectives.

Looking ahead

The signing of the memoranda marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, SACC and WBDHF.

By combining their networks and areas of expertise, the organisations aim to explore new opportunities for international engagement and contribute to the promotion of Slovakia as a country open to tourism, business, cultural exchange and sport.

The common ambition is clear: to build meaningful international partnerships, create new opportunities for cooperation and strengthen Slovakia’s presence on the global stage.
